Homeless People

Homeless People

Homeless people are everywhere. In general, there are more homeless people in the cities than the rural areas. In big cities such as New York City or London, you will see many homeless people sleeping on the streets, parks and under bridges. Homeless people often carry all their belongings with them in bags or carts. There are also homeless children although much efforts have been put in to reduce the number of homeless children on the streets. There are not enough homeless shelters to host all homeless people, homeless children and homeless families. Many homeless youth and homeless kids are also at risk kids. There needs to be something to help more homeless people.

Who are homeless people and where do homeless people come from?

Homeless people come from all types of background and religious beliefs. Some people are just unfortunate and unlucky enough to become homeless at a particular point in time. While many homeless people have problems with heath, alcohol addiction, drugs and abuse, others are perfectly sane people who happened to be down on their luck such as those in foreclosure. Most homeless people, though, come from poor backgrounds. Many homeless people were victims of violence at home and through homelessness these people can actually get away from violence and lead a normal life.
